Dua No: 181

[For a male]
غَفَرَ اللهُ لَكَ

[For a female]
غَفَرَ اللهُ لَكِ

[Replying to a male]
وَلَكَ

[Replying to a female]
وَلَكِ

Translation

Abdullah Ibn Sarjis (RA) said: I went to see the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and ate from his food and then said to him:

“May Allah forgive you, O Messenger of Allah.”

…he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) replied:

“and you (too).”

Transliteration

[For a male]
ghafar-allaahu lak

[For a female]
ghafar-allaahu laki

[Replying a male]
wa lak

[Replying to a female]
wa laki
